Our optometrists are fully trained to take care of you in most common eye care emergencies. Please contact us immediately if you think you’re experiencing an emergency related to your eyes or vision.

If you can’t reach us and you’re in severe pain, experiencing vision loss, or seeing many new flashes of light or floaters, or have other serious symptoms, please visit the nearest emergency room.

Signs of an Eye Care Emergency

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you’re unsure if your symptoms are related to an emergency. Experiencing any of the following symptoms, especially when they’re new and sudden, could be a sign of an eye care emergency:

  • Sudden, severe eye pain
  • Loss of vision, even if temporary
  • Discharge from the eye
  • Intense light sensitivity
  • Swelling or bleeding in or around the eye
  • New or severe headaches
  • Pupils that are not the same size
  • Seeing flashes of light
  • New onset of many floaters or spots in your vision
